Usage dosht starttime= totaltime= [optionalparam= ...] Description The dosht script sets up and submits cluster scripts to execute the module jv2ts, which performs a spherical harmonic transform of its input and outputs timeseries, typically with multiple spherical harmonic degrees chunked together. It requires a parameter file template called v2t.parms.blank to be present in its working directory, which would typically be set up by the script doglobalhs. If not found, or if its input parameters were not correctly specified, it aborts immediately with exit status 1. dosht checks the logs of the jobs it has submitted and resubmits them once if necessary. If jobs still continue to fail it returns exit status 1. Otherwise it prints the string "successful completion" and returns exit status 0. For details, see the full globalhs documentation. Required Parameters starttime - the beginning of the time period to be analyzed, typically given as an offset from the MDI epoch of 1993.01.01_00:00:00_TAI (e.g. a day number suffixed with 'd'), but date strings are also allowed. totaltime - the total amount of time to be analyzed, given as a string, such as '72d' or '48h'. This string will be parsed by the program durcon, the documentation for which can be found on its man page. Optional Parameters timechunk - amount of time to be analyzed by each cluster job, default '1d'. lmin - minimum spherical harmonic degree to compute, default 0 lmax - maximum spherical harmonic degree to compute, default 300 lchunk - number of l's to chunk together for short timeseries, default 40 Environment Variables JSOCROOT - used to set the path to jv2ts and other scripts GLOBALHS_LABEL - used as the suffix for jobs names, which will be the empty string if this variable is unset. GLOBALHS_V2TJOBTHRESHOLD - wait to submit jobs until the total number of sht jobs drops below this number, defaults to 70 if unset. The number of jobs submitted will be totaltime divided by timechunk, rounded up. GLOBALHS_V2TQUEUE - a string which specifies which cluster queue jobs will be submitted to, defaults to 'j.q' if unset.
