describe_series
Synopsis: describe_series [-j] {series_name}
describe_series prints the global information about the data series including summary information about the number of records and the highest record number. (These may not be the same since prior versions of a modified record are not counted as part of the record count but do occupy a "record number".)
-j: print out series definition.
