HMI Pipeline Module - TimeAveraged_IQUV

For a given time and duration this pipeline module locates the corrected level 1 HMI filtergrams needed to compute I, Q, U, and V. The filtergrams are interpolated to the proper time, remapped to the correct disk coordinates, and averaged to determine I,Q,U,& V.

The output is a DRMS dataset containing the appropriately time-averaged quantities corrected for solar rotation and other known instrumental effects.

The nominal cadence is 12 minutes, nominally averaging 8 90-second input records, but actually more with appropriate weighting to reduce aliasing.

Output data are temporary products and not archived.

Currently this module has not been prototyped.

Currently this code has not been written.

Currently this module has not been tested.

Currently this module has known issues:

  • type of temporal anti-alias filtering
