Release Notes for HMI Vector Magnetic Field Data in Several Active Regions

Beta Test Versions ''hmi.B_720s_e15w1332_###''

The second release of beta-test HMI vector magnetic field data can be found in the following two JSOC data series: hmi.B_720s_e15w1332_cutout and hmi.B_720s_e15w1332_CEA. The first series is a tracked "cutout" from the full-disk image; the second a cylindrical equal area projection centered on the tracked region.

This page contains a brief summary of the included regions. The list will be updated as more regions are processed.

The reduction procedures for these data sets are identical to the first release (NOAA AR 11158). For detailed format, technical specification, and user guide, please refer to the previous documentation ReleaseNotes and VectorPaper. To appropriately cite these data see VectorDataReference.

A 12-hour cadence synoptic data set of the full-disk Milne-Eddington inversion (without azimuthal ambiguity resolution) is also available. You can find links to the data and release notes at ME720se15w1332.

Note that data series with e15w1332 as part of the name refers to a beta-test version of the VFISV vector field inversion code that will be superceded when the standard production processing is completed.

Data near 07 and 19 UT may be missing or of reduced quality due to eclipses. Please check the 'QUALITY' keyword. Values other than 0 indicates anomalies. Detailed information can be found here.
